Field trip of HaUI students at ADCo’ Hai Phong Terminal

On 13th Dec 2024, ADCo warmly welcomed 50 students, Faculty of Chemical Technology, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to visit Hai Phong Terminal. This activity is useful in equipping the students with knowledge and practical experience to help them have orientations for their future careers.

At the beginning of the visit, Mr. Le The Nhu, Chief Operating Officer of Hai Phong Terminal, gave an overview of the depot and safety regulations when working inside the plant. At the same time, Mrs. Nguyen Hong Dung, Quality Control head, also provided basic knowledge of the company's key products such as Bitumen 60/70, 40/50, Polymer Modified Bitumen, and Bitumen Emulsion.

 

After that, HaUI students continued to visit the terminal laboratory (certified unit LAS-XD 173) and were introduced to ADCo's modern equipment and machinery used to measure and control the quality of bitumen and all processing products. At the laboratory, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu, a laboratory technician of ADCo helped the students distinguish among the characteristics of asphalt, polymer-modified bitumen, and bitumen emulsion through intuitive and specific experiments.

The most interesting activity on the trip was that the students could observe the bitumen tanks, production lines and be explained the production process of high-quality products of ADCo. The dedication of the Depot staff and the eagerness to learn from the students made the visit more exciting.

 

The field trip ended in a lively and exciting atmosphere with games of interesting questions about the entire trip, then, meaningful gifts were awarded to the students. Dr. Dang Huu Trung, lecturer at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Hanoi University of Industry shared his thoughts: “ADCo has been very enthusiastic and well organized to welcome our students today. After visiting the plant, I understand that ADCo has a professional production process and strict product quality control, which is operated on the most modern equipment. Thank ADCo for giving our University this valuable training opportunity!”

 

Hopefully, this trip will be one of the good beginnings that ADCo has brought to the students. At ADCo, we always strive to develop future human resources while giving value and benefits to the community!

Following the success of previous field trips, on 24thOctober 2023, ADCo welcomed 30 students, Faculty of Engineering, University of Transport and Communications (UTC) to visit Hai Phong Depot. This is a useful activity, equipping the students with knowledge and practical experiencethat helps them gain a deeper understanding of asphalt materials and asphalt products such as Polymer Modified Bitumen, emulsion… as well as future career development directions.

In October 2020, Central Vietnam in general and Chan May Terminal, in particular, were hit by four consecutive storms that caused damage to people, including ADCo employees living and working in this area. Immediately, the company leaders urged everyone to donate and share the difficulties of their colleagues. The total amount raised amounted to US$ 10,894 (equivalent to VND 252,632,000). The representatives of ADCo also organized a visit to 12 families of ADCo employees who suffered from storm damage.
