Blood Donation: “Just give, don't hesitate”

Blood donation is noble gesture that shows the responsibility of each individual to the community. At the same time, It is also a humane activity, deeply expressing the morality of "loving others as you love yourself" of the Vietnamese people.

Responding to the “red spring” event – ​​a blood donation campaign of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Asphalt Distribution Company Limited (ADCo) enthusiastically participated in this meaningful activity with the message: “Just give, don’t hesitate”.

 

The company's staff arrived early at the blood donation site to register and complete the initial check. Blood units were donated to bank of the blood reserve for the emergency case and treatment of patients. Afterwards, the systems of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion will update the patients treated with blood donated by ADCo staff.

Through this activity, ADCo wishes to contribute its small part, giving drops of blood to lighter a fire for people's lives, bringing hope to patients, traffic accident victims, babies with congenital hemolytic disease, serious illnesses... and also bringing pride to donors and all ADCo colleagues.

Following the success of previous field trips, on 24thOctober 2023, ADCo welcomed 30 students, Faculty of Engineering, University of Transport and Communications (UTC) to visit Hai Phong Depot. This is a useful activity, equipping the students with knowledge and practical experiencethat helps them gain a deeper understanding of asphalt materials and asphalt products such as Polymer Modified Bitumen, emulsion… as well as future career development directions.

In October 2020, Central Vietnam in general and Chan May Terminal, in particular, were hit by four consecutive storms that caused damage to people, including ADCo employees living and working in this area. Immediately, the company leaders urged everyone to donate and share the difficulties of their colleagues. The total amount raised amounted to US$ 10,894 (equivalent to VND 252,632,000). The representatives of ADCo also organized a visit to 12 families of ADCo employees who suffered from storm damage.
