Due to Vietnam’s extreme climate conditions (high temperature, UV exposure, and heavy rains), the use of polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) has become a popular choice among pavement engineers. PMB significantly improves the rutting resistance, shear stress, and cracking resistance of asphalt mixes. Also, Colflex® PMB allows a significant reduction in surface layer thickness (e.g.: Novachip, very thin overlay) with long-lasting skid resistance.
