On November 3, 2025, Asphalt Distribution Company Ltd. (ADCo) was delighted to welcome students from the Talented Engineer– Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Transport and Communications (UTC) to visit and learn at the Hai Phong Terminal. This educational visit offered students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of asphalt production, operation, and quality control—key aspects of the industry in which ADCo proudly stands as one of Vietnam’s leading suppliers.

Introducing the Hai Phong Plant/ Terminal and ADCo’s Safety Standards

The field trip began with a warm welcome from Mr. Le The Nhu, Chief Operating Officer of the Hai Phong Terminal, who provided an overview of the facility’s infrastructure, warehouse system, and safety regulations.

Following that, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu – Quality Control Head, shared in-depth insights about ADCo’s core products, including:

• Asphalt 60/70
• Asphalt 40/50
• Polymer Modified Asphalt
• Asphalt Emulsion

These practical insights helped students better understand the properties, applications, and quality control process of each product type.

Exploring the LAS-XD 173 Laboratory – Where ADCo’s Quality Begins

The next stop was ADCo’s LAS-XD 173 certified laboratory, equipped with modern testing systems to evaluate and ensure product quality. Here, students had the opportunity to observe live experiments that demonstrated the differences between normal bitumen, polymer-modified bitumen, and emulsion. This hands-on experience bridged the gap between theory and practice—something no textbook could fully replicate.

Experiencing the Production Line – Turning Theory into Action

The highlight of the visit was witnessing the real-time production process of polymer-modified asphalt and asphalt emulsion. Students observed the storage tanks, production lines, and strict operating procedures that guarantee ADCo’s products meet international standards. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the students, combined with the dedicated guidance of ADCo’s technical team, made for an exciting and inspiring learning experience.
