COMPOMAC® speed bumper
High performance storable cold mix asphalt for bumper application (speed deceleration)
ADCo has developed a storable high-performance cold mix asphalt using local material and a special emulsion type of ADCo inspired from cold mix product of Colas group named “Compomac” which is used widely in many countries in the world
Compomac® is a storable, dense-grade cold mix asphalt designed for maintenance (patching, potholes, filling trench) and small-scale paving projects (sidewalks, pathways, small car parks, rural roads) with low to medium traffic.
Compomac® was applied in the total Lubricant Plant project in Dong Nai province for bumper application to control the speed of vehicles just before entering the plant. The dimension of the bumper is 7 m (L) x 2.5 m (W) x 0.06 m (D) completed with 2.5 MT Compomac® on top of the deteriorating concrete surface in a plant. This new cold mix asphalt layer can be used as a speed bumper to protect old concrete beneath it and bring to customers many advantages such as safety, cost-effectiveness, simplicity of application, and high performance.
